The 38-year-old Polish powerhouse Jan Błachowicz is set to defend his light heavyweight title against the 42-year-old Brazilian veteran Gover Teixeira this Saturday. The UFC’s main event returns to Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi — or “Fight Island” — for the first time since 2019. The brawlers’ ages make this the second oldest title fight in UFC history.

UFC 267 will have no shortage of great fights, with a colossal main event and a hot undercard. Fight fans in the United States will have to watch the fight a little earlier than usual. Since the main event’s going down in the Middle East, the main card will start at 2 pm (ET). A perk to this time and location is that UFC won’t be requiring fans to watch on pay-per-view. Fight fans can watch on ESPN+ with just a subscription.

But we’ll do you one better: we’ll show you how to watch the UFC 267 (or any UFC main event. for that matter) on a Dutch streaming service completely free. All you’ll need is a VPN.

Live Stream UFC 267: Jan Błachowicz vs. Glover Teixeira for Free

In the Netherlands, you can actually watch the UFC for free using a service called Kijk.nl. It’s estimated that nearly 93% of the Netherlands population speaks English, so Kijk.nl uses the American broadcast of UFC pay-per-view main events and all other UFC matchups. So you get the same American broadcast with Joe Rogan, Jon Anik, and Daniel Cormier commentating.

In the USA, the UFC has worked out a five-year deal to live-stream its events through ESPN+. While it doesn’t have all the same live sports that the flagship channel does, it is home to the UFC in the USA.

Around the globe, different broadcasting companies cut different UFC deals. In Poland — Błachowicz’s home country — all UFC pay-per-view bouts are included in a Polsat Sport subscription. The same goes for Wink in Russia. But you’ll still need a contract and subscription to those providers, and the commentary will be in the country’s native tongue.

Accessing the free Dutch stream in English is easy; you just need to download a VPN. Need a recommendation? We think ExpressVPN is the world champ of international sports streaming.

Watch UFC 267 for free with a VPN: A step-by-step guide

  3. Download the VPN software to the device you want to watch UFC on. ExpressVPN works on laptops, mobile devices, and SmartTVs.

Using a Free VPN to Live Stream UFC 267

People new to VPNs often ask us: “Can you use a free VPN to live stream content?” Sure, you can. But you need to be aware of the pitfalls. While free VPNs will save you on subscription costs, they’re also free for a reason. There are a lot of ways you could end up spending a lot of money one way or another.

Even great free VPNs have problems and issues when live streaming content:

  • Limited bandwidth: When you’re watching live sports, the last thing you want is pixelation and buffering. If you use a free VPN, you might notice slower internet speeds — especially during popular sporting events. That’s because thousands of users are sharing the same network, competing for bandwidth. If you want more speed, you can pay for an upgrade.
  • Traffic limits: A lot of free VPNs offer premium services for a limited time. This means you’ll have access to a wide network of servers, top security protocols, and blazing speeds. You start live-streaming UFC 267, but after the first few preliminary fights, you get a message that says you’ve reached your daily or monthly traffic limit. If you’re in the middle of the main event, you’ll likely shell out money for a subscription or just upgrade anyways.
  • Limited numbers of servers: In order to stream Jan Błachowicz vs. Glover Teixeira, you’re going to need a server based in The Netherlands. While The Netherlands is a popular spot for VPNs, you can’t be sure a free provider will have servers in the country. ExpressVPN has over 3,000 servers across 94 countries, including two in Amsterdam, one in Rotterdam, and another in the Hague. So you’re sure to access the free live stream.
  • Privacy concerns: How do free VPNs make money anyway? They can log and sell your online activity to third parties and advertisers. Users don’t get VPNs to just unblock content; they use them for anonymous browsing, privacy protection, and security. Privacy-oriented VPN providers don’t keep any logs of user activities and never sell any of your personal information. That’s because servers are routinely wiped, and there’s nothing there to sell.

If you’d like to avoid these problems, we’d recommend going with a premium provider. If ExpressVPN isn’t in your budget, make sure to check out our 3 Best Cheap VPNs of 2021. All three have servers in the Netherlands.

Jan Błachowicz vs. Glover Teixeira: What to Expect

Błachowicz has been on a brutal tear and hasn’t lost a fight since July 2019. There’s been plenty of knockdowns and takedowns to go around, but the Polish powerhouse said himself that Teixeira needs to be taken seriously. The Brazilian has a tendency to make his opponents think he’s run out of gas, only to come back swinging in a second-winded barrage of serious power strikes.

Both fighters were respectful of each other at UFC Media Day, with Błachowicz saying that Teixeira deserves to take a title shot as much as anyone in the sport. While the champ said there was no “bad blood” between them, he remarked he was plotting a KO: “That doesn’t change anything. When we go inside the octagon, the fight will start, and I have to knock him out, and I will do it.”
